Thanks to all those who attended the local business breakfast I held in conjunction with Liberal Candidate for Elder Carolyn Habib recently.
It was a great opportunity to thank some of the people in our community who are working hard to create jobs for fellow South Australians.
There was some great discussion about what Government can do to help grow business which complemented the feedback I have already received through my Small Business Survey www.growbusinessgrowjobs.com.au.
There was lively discussion of state based issues, including the Labor Government's ever rising Emergency Services Levy and our plan to return the $360 million ESL remission to families and businesses, as well as the toxic State Bank Tax which Treasurer Koutsantonis wants to inflict on our state.
Conversation also focused on lifting business confidence in South Australia from our current spot as the worst in the country.
A number of Federal issues were raised and as such it is my pleasure to let you know the Federal Small Business Minister Michael McCormack will be in Adelaide on Tuesday 26 September and is holding a Small Business Roadshow at the Reynella Sports and Social Club, 1 Oval Road Old Reynella.
Representatives from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman and the Australian Taxation Office will be available to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
The roadshow details are below and if you are interested in attending please RSVP accordingly. I am sure it will be beneficial to hear what is happening at the federal level to help the small business sector in our state.
