The Brighton Community Garden has found a home!

As you may know, the Brighton Community Garden has been looking for a home since funding was approved for the project in 2017.

Recently at a City of Holdfast Bay Council meeting, councillors voted unanimously to create the garden at Bowker Oval in North Brighton.

Congratulations to all those involved who made this possible, and a big thank you to the people behind the Brighton Community Garden for not giving up on this project.

This is a fantastic win for our community and one that I fully support.  I look forward to visiting the garden soon!

Community gardens are great places to grow a sense of community, build connections and of course, grow food!

Many community and neighbourhood centres have an association with a community garden.
