The issues of emergency departments closing across the city, the downgrading of services at Noarlunga Hospital and the shameful government decision to close down the Repat hospital have South Australians up in arms.

I know that we have been hearing a lot about the shocking treatment of the people at Oakden in the mental health and aged-care facility, and we are all appalled at what is going on there and the mismanagement of this government in dealing with this issue. However, today I rise to speak about the darkness that surrounds our job prospects in South Australia.

South Australia's unemployment rate jumped to 7.3% in April, a rise from 7% in March.
South Australian's deserve better and the State Government needs to be doing more to support South Australian businesses grow and employ more people.
