Today I was able to visit the amazing Brighton Dunes to meet with some of the residents for morning tea.
We were treated to lovely scones with jam and cream, tea, and coffee.

On ANZAC Day this year I had the privilege of attending the Brighton RSL Dawn Service.
After COVID-19 meant that Dawn services in 2020 could not go ahead, it was fantastic to be able to come together again as a community in remembrance of the people who both fought, and lost their lives in service to our country.Read more

It was a pleasure to attend and speak at the Official Opening of the Brighton Oval Complex today.
Upgrades include three new purpose-built clubrooms, unisex changerooms, new signage and an electronic scoreboard, and upgraded community facilities such as the skatepark.
Along the way, many local champions have emerged to see this project completed, in particular champions from the local clubs who use this space.Read more

A longstanding ban on dancing at South Australia’s pubs and clubs will be lifted from Friday 26 February 2021 but with some restrictions, while the state will also remove its remaining border restrictions with Victoria.
From one minute past midnight on Friday, small licensed venues with 200 or fewer people can allow dancing, as long as patrons check-in using QR codes and maintain a distance of one person per two-square-metres. Dancing will also be allowed at larger venues of between 200 to 1000 people, so long as only 50 people dance at one time in a designated area such as on a dance floor.Read more

On the 11th February 2021, I was able to visit the Repat Hospital, which is currently in Phase Two of the refurbishment and redevelopment plan. The aim of this project is to provide and boost health services for those in the South.
I had the opportunity to tour the new facilities with local Member for Elder, Carolyn Power MP. It was fantastic to see the new developments and how this project has progressed. It is particularly important for those suffering with dementia, as the development includes a state-of-the-art 12 bed specialist facility for patients with this condition requiring short term medical treatment before returning to their homes.Read more
It was a pleasure to visit a number of locals schools in our community with Hon John Gardner MP, Minister for Education. These included Hamilton Secondary College, Oaklands Estate Kindergarten and Seaview High School.
This was also a fantastic opportunity to see first-hand the significant capital works progress underway at Hamilton Secondary College and Seaview High School, which forms part of the State Government's major school upgrades program.Read more
