The Edwardstown Rotary club, of which I am a Member, is currently looking for volunteers to help with the Pacific School Games. They Games are being held from November 21 to 29 at several locations around Adelaide. The Games provide opportunities for around 4000 school-aged students to participate in nine different sports at the highest level.Read more
Since the last listening post on 25 September 2015 I have been following up with the Government to see what plans they have for the Oaklands Crossing, and also called for further discussions with the Minister. Unfortunately, the Government has not been forthcoming with that information.
I have received a lot of correspondence from the community and it is apparent that the Weatherill Labor Government's new cycling laws have created a great level of confusion and angst.
It is clear that the Labor Government did not properly consult the public about these law changes, which is why we are now seeking the community’s input.

Today in Parliament I presented a petition signed by 1,007 residents of South Australia requesting the house to urge the government not to close the Repatriation General Hospital and recognise this hospital as the spiritual home of and vital lifeline for veterans of South Australia and the South Australian community.Read more
it is great to see that after a year of pressuring the government, that the works along the Southern Expressway Noisewall are almost complete.
The Listening Post held on Friday at the Marion Shopping Centre was a big success and together we had more than 100 people sign the Parliamentary Petition to Fix Oaklands Crossing.Read more
