Safety paramount on South Eastern Freeway
The State Liberals continue to support a bipartisan approach to improving safety on the South Eastern Expressway descent.
“I have been in constant contact with a number of key stakeholders in this area and we see great merit in the coroner’s recommendations,” said Shadow Minister for Transport and Road Safety Corey Wingard.
“While State Labor Government has taken early measures to improve safety on the decent, it is important that they continue to implement further steps.
“The State Liberals will support all reasonable action to improve road safety on the decent, while maintaining practicality for commuters.
“What is of concern is that while the Government has released early design options for a third arrestor/safety bed they are yet to release any costing information to the community.
“The SA Liberals are committed to avoiding any further unnecessary fatalities on our roads due to inaction or indecision.”
