Repat Petition Tabled

On 10 September 2015 the SA Liberals tabled a petition with more than 85,000 signatures to save the Repatriation General Hospital and Daw Park

There is no doubt that South Australians want the hospital to remain open.  Yet the Weatherill Labor Government is arrogantly snubbing its nose at community support for the Hospital and is proceeding with devastating cuts to the health system.

Praise must be given to the Vets on the steps of Parliament House who spent 161 days sleeping outside in an effort to get the government to listen to the people.

The Government is clearly not listening to the community and is ignoring the wishes of the public.

The tabling of more than 85,000 signatures was not the end of the Save the Repat petition campaign.  We will continue to fight and collect petition signatures – both on paper and online at .until the decision is reversed.
