Take a look at what more than $50 million invested in our local schools will deliver

As part of the State Government's record $1.3 billion capital works program, $51.5 million is being invested into our community.

The schools receiving funding in our area include Brighton Secondary School, Seaview High School, Hamilton Secondary College, Brighton Primary School and Warradale Primary School.

Among the $16.2 million upgrades being considered to transform Seaview High School (pictured above) into a world-class education hub are additional learning areas, a multipurpose creative arts complex, and a second building for visual arts with specialised learning areas. A further $9 million is also going into Hamilton Secondary College. This investment will complement the outstanding work this cohort has done to develop a nation leading curriculum focused on the space industry.

Capital works at our three local high schools will be finished in time to welcome students in Term 1, 2022. It will also coincide with transitioning Year 7 students into high school, a move which will bring our state's education system into the 21st century and in-line with other states and territories

I'll also be in touch with further information about Brighton Primary School's $5 million and Warradale Primary School's $7.5 million upgrade to update parents of students as those projects unfold but these are exciting times for education in our community.
