Improved amenities in the Dover Gardens local area

Anti-social behaviour and community safety around the Dover Gardens area has been an ongoing concern for many residents, which is why I've been working closely with SAPOL, the City of Marion and Housing SA to help find a solution to a range of issues raised at my previous community forum in mid-December 2019.

Significant progress has been made in a number of areas to improve local amenities and community engagement.

The Quintus Terrace site will be redeveloped to deliver affordable home ownership and social housing opportunities. An Expression of Interest has been released for interested builders and developers to make submissions for the redevelopment and reinvigoration of the Quintus Terrace site. Tender closes on Thursday, 12 March 2020.

SAPOL will also soon be undertaking a District Policing Model in Dover Gardens. A dedicated sergeant and team based at the Sturt Police Station will be active in the area to build a relationship with the local community and act as a direct point of contact for residents with issues.

We have also been working closely with the Marion Council to end graffiti and rubbish dumping.

Thank you to everyone who's been involved and I'll continue to keep working step by step to improve our community.
