Colours in my Palette
watercolours by Alan Louis (HALF GALLERY)
Alan says “Painting is my way of expressing how I appreciate life and the beauty that I see in even the most ordinary and mundane things. Whether I am painting a street scene, river scene, people, landscapes, flowers, even a single leaf, I derive joy and satisfaction from being able to freely express my own interpretations of what I perceive, guided only by my emotions and innermost feelings.”
paintings by Milena Malbasic (QUARTER GALLERY)
Milena says “I create my paintings from my imagination rather than specific scenes. My inspiration comes from experiences such as reading books, travel and my spiritual view of world. Each of my painting is journey of happiness. I hope you see that in my paintings and enjoy it as much as I enjoy painting them”.
paintings by Hugh Adamson and photography by David Baker (QUARTER GALLERY)
Hugh says “I contemplate how I might produce a piece of artwork which tests me and makes good use of the resources I have at my disposal. Painters paint pictures, Artists paint ideas. My art should always push the envelope and challenge my beliefs and draw me into areas which may not necessarily be within my comfort zone.”
David says “Allow your peripheral vision to take over and see where it takes you. Some of the images are simple, some are complex, there are recognisable objects and others are ideas. If your mind rests somewhere, the image and your presence took you there. Enjoy the experience.”
Hospitality in Gallery M is provided by Patritti Wines – free entry, all welcome. Gallery M is open from 5-8pm.
The exhibitions conclude Sunday 10 March.
