After more than 6 months of waiting it was great to get a tour of the Dry Creek Train depot.
I got to see first hand the Electric train horn lever that's being altered to help "tone down" the blast as well as the horns themselves being moved lower at the front of the engine.
Along with David Speirs MP we'll keep a close eye on the outcome.
I saw how the Electric trains are towed out to Dry Creek from the city for servicing plus learnt plenty of other interesting facts from the visit.
I'll keep everyone updated with more in coming weeks.
^The switch to control a high or low sounding horn.
^Train horns will be moved from above the driver to below like the old diesel trains.
