Shadow Minister for Road Safety Corey Wingard has urged all South Australians to take care on the roads over the long weekend.
“With the long weekend and school holidays, many South Australians will be taking the opportunity to visit their family and friends, so the roads will be very busy,” said Mr Wingard.
“Given the number of incidents on the South-Eastern Freeway recently, I encourage South Australians using this highway to take particular care.
“However, it is important that all motorists drive carefully this weekend, leave the appropriate amount of time to reach their destination, drive to the conditions, take regular breaks and prioritise their safety and the safety of others on the road.
“By planning ahead and taking care on the roads, we can keep this long weekend fatality free.
“I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable long weekend, but I implore people who are travelling on our roads to take extra care.”
