Road works add to Clipsal traffic nightmare
The State Liberals are calling on the Weatherill Government to ensure that no unnecessary state government road works occur during Clipsal to further add to the increased traffic congestion.
“The yearly Clipsal traffic crawl is in full force this week as road closures restricted vehicle access around the city, said Shadow Minister for Transport, Corey Wingard.
“What we don’t want to see is non-urgent road works adding to this congestion – slowing the morning commute even further.
“The state government should put a hold on all non-urgent road maintenance works on detour roads during Clipsal.
“We want to see Clipsal continue to grow and attract more interest, while limiting the impact on congestion for morning and afternoon commuters.
