Today I hosted the Brighton National Seniors for a tour to share the amazing history and significance of the Parliament House of South Australia.
Everyone was particularly intrigued about the roles and differences between the House of Assembly and Legislative Council.
As the local Member, I took the role as tour guide as I led Graham (President) and members of the Brighton National Seniors through Parliament house visiting the Old Parliament Building, the Balcony Room, House of Assembly and Legislative Council chambers.
It was great to acknowledge all the historical figures and events along the way, even pointing out some of the architectural details missed by most.
It's always great meeting with local community groups and I wish the Brighton National Seniors all the best for the rest of the year.
