2020 Brighton Jetty Classic

It was on for the young and old at the 2020 annual Brighton Jetty Classic! Competitors ranging from 7 to 70 and beyond took part in South Australia's largest open water swim. It was a day full of action with a surf boat carnival, street festival, food trucks with live music and entertainment.

The event attracts in excess of 1,000 entries the for 1,500m and 400m swims which are the blue ribbon events for the elite swimmers. Cash prizes are up for grabs for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in those events. There is also shorter distance swims of 300m, 200m and 100m for the young ones to build confidence in the ocean. 

Congratulations to City of Holdfast Bay 400m Elite Fast Lap Swims Male winner Patrick Cobiac and Female winner Emily White. Both of these elite swimmers amazingly also won the Channel 7 Brighton Jetty Classic Elite 1500m swims. Well done to all elite swimmers for a fantastic effort.

Another highly anticipated event on the day is the Marilyn Jetty Swim who are helping to raise much needed funds for the Cancer Council SA. The Marilyn's have now raised more than $470,000 over the past 7 years.
