Tucked away in a back street of Brighton hides the home of the Brighton Districts Table Tennis Club. Most people have probably walked past it without knowing, however the Club has been around since the mid-1950s and is still going strong.
Last week I had the opportunity to visit the Club, where I met with president Paul and say hi to many of the members.
During my visit Paul explained how the Club is able to provide facilities and opportunities for players of all ages and skills, to meet and play on a regular basis. The clubrooms are also wheelchair friendly, making it accessible for everyone to enjoy not only the competitive, but social side Table Tennis has to offer.
Over the past number of years, the Club has also won the Best Club Award on multiple occasions as well as the State League Premierships.
Thank you to Paul for showing me around and I look forward to having a hit next time I pop in.
