It was great to have Federal Infrastructure Minister Paul Fletcher in town this week to have a look at how the Oaklands Crossing works are progressing.

We were able to see the Morphett Road diversion, and the excavation of where the new rail corridor and station will be. In the coming months we will see piling works continued with cranes about the place, and see construction begin on the western side of the new bridge.

I'd also like to remind commuters to stay safe when travelling through the crossing. I ask that you please continue to keep in mind the changed traffic conditions and observe road signs and traffic attendants to ensure a safe trip for everyone.
From this week, there have also been changes to pedestrian access around the current Oaklands Station. Pedestrians are no longer able to access the station from Crozier Terrace adjacent to Kearnes Road. All pedestrian access to the Southbound platform will be through Murray Terrace and the citybound platform. Please see map below for a clearer understanding.
