New building opens at Brighton Primary School

This morning, Education Minister John Gardner, Brighton Primary School Principal Ian Filer and I unveiled a plaque to celebrate the opening of a new school building.

The State Government invested $5m into this stunning new building at Brighton Primary School, with the school contributing a further $154,000 to the project.

Its world-class facilities include learning areas, a canteen and teacher-preparation spaces. This building will be home to positive learning outcomes long into the future.

On a sadder note, however, Principal Ian Filler will soon be retiring. Ian has been an outstanding leader at Brighton Primary School and has been a fantastic ambassador for the school in the community. I know the school community will miss having him around deeply.
