Lest We Forget

On ANZAC Day this year I had the privilege of attending the Brighton RSL Dawn Service.

After COVID-19 meant that Dawn services in 2020 could not go ahead, it was fantastic to be able to come together again as a community in remembrance of the people who both fought, and lost their lives in service to our country.

I would like to commend the important work of the RSL in supporting those who returned from conflict bearing the physical, mental and emotional scars of war, and the volunteers who contributed to the running of all the services throughout the local community this year.

It was a privilege to be able to lay a wreath at the service in remembrance of all Australian’s involved in both distant and recent conflicts.
