Earlier this year I invited primary school students in our community to participate in my Christmas card competition by drawing a design for the front of my card. The theme for this year’s design was ‘What Christmas means to me’.
I was overwhelmed by the great response with entries from three primary schools. Every design was colourful, heartfelt and depicted a wonderful snapshot of what was important about Christmas to each student. I would like to thank every student who participated for putting so much thought into their design.
After a tough selection process, a design from each school was selected. It was a pleasure to present each winner with a copy of their card in front of their peers. A big congratulations to Aaliyah from Reynella South Primary School, Sam from Darlington Primary School and Fiona from Stella Maris Parish School who should all be very proud. I am delighted to showcase such great work from students in the electorate on this year’s Christmas card.
